Original Type I photograph capturing the Cincinnati Reds raising the "1919 National League Champions" flag at Redland Field. The Reds clinched the pennant at home on September 16th after defeating the New York Giants 4-3. As we can see here, they wasted no time in hoisting the flag. All the Reds players are gathered on the field (some waving to fans in the crowd) as the Giants players stand alongside them during the ceremony, including manager John McGraw (who is helping to raise the flag with Reds manager Pat Moran) and George "High Pockets" Kelly. No markings are on the reverse. The photo (9.5x7.75") displays some minor paper residue on the reverse and minor foxing. Excellent condition overall. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
