While replica Championship Belts have become a fun item for fans, this is the genuine article, sourcing from no less than Iron Mike Tyson. Hefty World Boxing Association Championship belt dates from 1996 and comes from Tyson's bout against Bruce Sheldon on September 7. Belt weighs a hefty 6.5 pounds and measures roughly 43" when opened, thus it would be hard for most people to wear around the waist, though it does fit nicely over the shoulder. Main plate has WBA Champion with boxing glove and crown (filled with faux gems to simulate diamonds and rubies), along with two side plates which are not engraved. Back of the belt has another, smaller plate reading, "Association Mundial de Boxeo," and it is fleece-lined with velcro fastener. Per the included letter from Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson, "My father James Anderson was on(e) of Mike (T)yson's bodyguards and had worked for Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard in the past." Tyson scored a decisive 1st round knockout, after which "Mike gave this belt to my father..." who then passed it along to son Jamal. LOA signed by Jamal Anderson, full PSA LOA for that autograph only.
