All original 1980-81 Colorado Rockies hockey jersey game worn by Walt McKechnie. White mesh top has a Rawlings size 50 tag in the collar, and is custom hemmed at sides and bottom. All letters and numbers are heat-pressed, with a red, yellow, and blue Colorado mountain logo across the chest, number 12 on shoulders and back in blue-on-red, and name on a plate in all blue lettering. Tremendous use displayed including paint transfers, pilling, stick marks, blood stains, unrepaired cut on sleeve, and burns. A journeyman center, McKechnie played for seven organizations during his 16-year career, and he netted 15 goals in just 53 games in that '80-81 season. After the following year, the Rockies moved to become the New Jersey Devils, and after the 1994-95 season the Quebec Nordiques moved to become the modern-day Colorado Avalanche.
