Joe Cronin is a Hall of Famer who was a player-manager with both the Washington Senators and the Boston Red Sox and displayed is a Cronin single-signed Official American League Baseball (Brown). A shortstop, Cronin played for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1926-27), the Washington Senators (1928-34), and the Boston Red Sox (1935-45). Cronin hit .301 lifetime, and in an era before shortstops were expected to show power, Cronin bashed 170 home runs and had 1,424 RBIs. Cronin was also a general manager and for 14 years was the President of the American League. As a manager, Cronin won pennants with the 1933 Washington Senators and the 1945 Boston Red Sox.
