Presented is the opportunity to possess a limited-edition serigraph featuring St. Louis sports legends, with each of the legends depicted signing his name. The serigraph contains images of eight St. Louis sports legends, each a Hall of Famer. St. Louis Cardinals (baseball): Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter, Red Schoendienst, Bob Gibson and Lou Brock. St Louis Cardinals (football): Dan Dierdorf, Jackie Smith, and Larry Wilson. The colorful serigraph measures 28x22". The print was commissioned for a charitable organization, and the serigraph is signed by the artist. What a great array of talent! Each player is an athlete whose primary team was the St. Louis Cardinals, both the baseball and football variety. 1) Musial - The outfielder/ first baseman spent 22 years as a Major Leaguer, all with the Cards. "Stan the Man" had 3,630 hits, 475 homers, a 3-time NL MVP, a 7-time batting crown winner, and a .331 career average. 2) Slaughter - Famous for his hustling dash home that won Game 7 of the 1945 World Series for the Cards. The outfielder was a lifetime .300 hitter. 3) Schoendienst - Great second baseman. A 10-time All-Star and a 5-time World Series winner. 4) Gibson - Intmidating right-hander. Had a 251-179 record with a 2.91 ERA. 5) Brock - The outfield speedster once held the Major League record for stolen bases, with 938. 6) Dierdorf was a 6-time Pro Bowler at offensive tackle and became a noted broadcaster. 7) Jackie Smith was a tight end who played 210 NFL games, with 480 receptions for 40 touchdowns. 8) Larry Wilson was a free safety who recorded 52 interceptions and almost single-handedly made the safety blitz a new defensive weapon. The signatures, each written in black ink from a marker, are 8-9/10. The vividly colorful serigraph makes a great St. Louis sports collectible.
