Presented is a signed sheet of 24 (including one clubhouse) autographs from the 1971 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates, including autographs from Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Bill Mazeroski, and Willie Stargell. Pittsburgh went 97-65 in the regular season in '71 to win the National League East, and the Pirates defeated the San Francisco Giants 3-1 in the NL Championship Series, and the Pirates defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-1 in the World Series. On offense, the Pirates were led by Clemente, who hit .344, with 13 home runs and 86 RBIs, and Willie Stargell, who batted .295, with 48 home runs and 125 RBIs. The key Pirate pitchers Dock Ellis, who was 19-9, and Steve Blass, who was 15-8. Comes with the original envelope that was mailed by the Pirates to send the autographs to a fan. The envelope measures 4.1x9.4", and it has the Pittsburgh Pirates' return address. There are some rips on the envelope and some water stains, several large. There is a fold near the top of the autograph sheet that goes through the autographs of Bill Virdon (coach) and Nelson Briles. In addition to the aforementioned Hall of Famers, key autographs: Ellis, Blass, Al Oliver, Bob Veale, Gene Alley, Bob Robertson, Briles, Virdon, and Tony Bartirome, well-known long-time Pirates trainer. The signature sheet comes with a PSA/DNA LOA, and this LOA deems the signature of Frank Oceak to be a clubhouse signature. The signatures generally average 6/10.
