Government postcard, postmarked April 29, 1947, beautifully signed "Best Wishes, Jackie Robinson" in black fountain pen. PSA has encapsulated the postcard and graded the signature MINT 9. Robinson signed this postcard just two weeks following his historic Major League debut on April 15th, making it one of the earliest 1947 Jackie Robinson signed pieces we have handled. Robinson walked twice and scored two runs to help lead the Dodgers to a 10-6 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Ebbets Field on the day this postcard was mailed. The postcard (5.5x3.25") displays light creases and a small green ink stain along the bottom right border.
