Rare game worn Danny Ainge Boston Celtics jersey dates from the 1986-87 season. White top with green trim has Sand-Knit Exclusive and size 44 tagging on left front tail, CELTICS is arched across the front with name on back sewn in individual letters, with number 44 on front and back. Use is evident but jersey looks almost perfect, with a small stray mark evident near the back left shoulder and a black mark on the rear tail near the bottom of the jersey. Ainge averaged 14.8 points per game to go with 5.6 assists per game in '86-87, as the Celts won the Atlantic Division title and charged to the NBA Finals before falling in six games to the Los Angeles Lakers. Ainge is one of only a handful of players - and by far the most famous - to play in both the NBA and Major League Baseball, as his 14 pro hoops seasons were preceded by three years playing second base for the Toronto Blue Jays.
