Kansas City Chiefs home jersey worn by defensive back Mike Sensibaugh during the early 1970s. This jersey comes with the special provenance of originating directly from Sensibaugh's estate (he died in 2021). The red Dureen jersey features the number "20" on the front, reverse, and each sleeve. "Sensibaugh" is lettered upon a red nameplate on the reverse, directly above the number. All letters and numerals are sewn in white on gold tackle twill. Located on the interior front tail is a "Rawlings 48" label and an adjacent wash tag. The jersey is complete with the buttoned crotch strap and pair of hand-warming pockets on the front. The jersey displays heavy wear, including light stains and several team repairs. Sensibaugh, who was drafted by the Chiefs out of Ohio State in 1971, was the club's starting free safety from 1972 to 1978. Despite his long tenure with the club, this jersey dates to the early 1970s because by 1974 the club had made the transition from Dureen jerseys to mesh. This is an outstanding Chiefs game-used jersey dating to the club's first few seasons in the NFL.
