1971 Baltimore Orioles American League Championship ring is of the same kind awarded to the players, with this going to long-time equipment manager Clayton Reid. Set stone on face is black sapphire atop which sits a round orange topaz. Bezel reads, in four sections, Baltimore/Orioles/AL Champions/1971. Left shank is engraved with "Japanese Tour" above the year and swinging Oriole logo on a relief of the globe. Reid is engraved on the right shank above a banner engraved "Eq/Mgr" (Equipment Manager) above banners recognizing their three straight pennants of 1969, 1970, and 1971. On the bottom is a relief of the American League eagle logo, which has mostly been rubbed smooth. Stamped Balfour 10k inside, ring is size 12.5 and weighs 32 ounces; extensive use shown, in EX condition.
