Spectacular original Type I photograph capturing Bob Feller delivering a pitch to Joe DiMaggio at Yankee Stadium. Taken from the vantage point of the mezzanine level, directly behind home plate, we can see that DiMaggio has already made contact, with the ball clearly visible as it makes its way on the ground headed toward third base. Both DiMaggio and Feller broke into the Majors in 1936 and therefore were no strangers to each other during their respective careers, with this scene played out countless times over the years. An "International News Photo" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption in pencil that reads "DiMaggio at bat against pitcher Bob Feller." The crystal-clear photo (9x7") displays light creasing (mainly along the border areas) and is in Very Good condition overall. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
