Collection of thirty-eight signed index cards, plus four cuts and an envelope, each featuring the signature of a member of the baseball Hall of Fame. These cards are part of a much larger signature collection compiled by our consignor's father in the late 1940s ("The New England Autograph Collection"). All the items from the collection are featured in thirty-one separate lots in this auction, including many prominent Hall of Famer autographs. The signatures, penned in a variety of inks (a few in pencil), range in grade from 5/10 to 10/10, averaging 8/10. The majority of signatures appear on the lined side of the card and the cards are in Excellent to Mint condition overall. The index card of Harry Hooper is accompanied by its original mailing envelope, which features a second Harry Hooper signature within the return address. The Connie Mack cut signature has been mounted (with photo corners) upon an index card.

The collection consists of the following: Index Cards (38): Appling (signed front and back), Carey, Chandler, Combs, Cronin, Dickey, Doerr, Duffy, Ferrell, Frick, Frisch, Greenberg, Griffith, Grove, Harris, Herman, Hooper (with mailing envelope signed by Hooper), Hoyt (personalized to "Mr. Brown"), Hubbell, Kell, Kelly, Lombardi, Marquard, McCarthy, Medwick, Mize, Musial, Newhouser, Ruffing (personalized to "Reggie"), Schalk, Schoendienst (signed front and back), Slaughter, Spahn (personalized to "Reggie"), Stengel, Terry, Vaughan, L. Waner, and Wheat. Cut Signatures (4): Feller, Grove, Hubbell, and Mack.
