Spalding "Official League" baseball signed by Babe Ruth across the sweet spot. Ruth's signature has been scripted in blue blue fountain pen and although it has faded slightly, it remains clearly legible, grading 4/10 overall. The ball is lightly soiled and remains in Excellent condition. This ball has a unique provenance. Our consignor received it as child from Leo Bolley, a former member of the Green Bay Packers who later became a well-known sports announcer during the 1930s and 1940s. Bolley was a friend of our consignor's family and probably met Ruth on more than one occasion during his professional career in sports. The ball has remained in our consignor's possession since the time he received it in the 1940s and is therefore new to the hobby. Full LOA from PSA.
