Vintage Sher-Wood hockey stick game used by legendary Boston Bruins backliner Bobby Orr, circa early 1970s. Typical of the era, the left-handed stick is unpainted with manufacturer's stamps and "4 ORR" on the shaft. Original tape on knob and blade, and it is signed in 9/10 black marker near the base of the shaft. Comes with an LOA from Great North Road America - the official store of Bobby Orr products - and comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Our research indicates that Orr - still widely considered the best NHL defenseman of all time - only used this type of Sher-Wood stick during the 1972-74 time period, the prime of his injury-shortened career during which he won two of his eight consecutive Norris Trophies as the league's top defenseman.
