Envelope signed by Hall of Fame shortstop Honus Wagner as part of the return address. PSA has encapsulated the envelope and certified the signature as "Authentic." Wagner's signature ("J. Honus Wagner") has been scripted in blue fountain pen and grades 8/10. Wagner has written the name of his hometown, "Carnegie, Pa.," directly below his name. Postmarked from Carnegie, Pennsylvania on October 2, 1946. This envelope is part of a much larger signature collection compiled by our consignor's father in the late 1940s ("The New England Autograph Collection"). All the items from the collection are featured in thirty-one separate lots in this auction, including many prominent Hall of Famer autographs. The envelope (6.5x3.75") remains in Excellent condition.
