Index card boldly signed by Hall of Fame outfielder Hack Wilson. PSA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature MINT 9. Wilson's signature, which appears on the lined side of the card, is flawlessly scripted in green fountain pen and represents one of the finest examples we have handled. Hack Wilson died in 1948 at the age of forty-eight, but wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame until 1979. As a result, his signature is scarce today, especially high-grade examples. This card is part of a much larger signature collection compiled by our consignor's father in the late 1940s ("The New England Autograph Collection"). All the items from the collection are featured in thirty-one separate lots in this auction, including many prominent Hall of Famer autographs. The index card (5x3") remains in Near Mint condition.
