Presented is a full game ticket to Game 1 of the 1963 World Series, a Sandy Koufax gem, when the Los Angeles Dodgers' left-hander struck out 15 New York Yankees in going the distance at Yankee Stadium in a 5-2 Dodgers win. Before 69,000 in a day game, the Dodgers scored all the runs they needed in the second inning on a Moose Skowron single for a run and a three-run home run by catcher John Roseboro. Skowron had another RBI on a single in the third inning. The Yankees scored all of the team's runs on a two-run homer by Tom Tresh in the bottom of the eighth inning. The 15 strikeouts by Koufax set a World Series record for a single game in breaking fellow Dodger Carl Erskine's previous record set in 1953. Whitey Ford took the loss for the Yankees. The Dodgers went on to sweep the '63 World Series. The full ticket measures 2.25x7.25". The ducat is for a $4.00 Open Stand Reserved Seat.
