Collection of twenty individual player photos, each signed by a different member of the 1947 Cleveland Browns. These photos originate from the personal collection of Cleveland Browns Hall of Fame wide receiver Mac Speedie and have been consigned to this auction directly by a family member. It is one of twenty lots from the Mac Speedie Collection offered in this auction, all of which were just recently on public display at the National Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. In addition to signing the photo, each player has also added a personal inscription to Speedie. The signers featured in this collection are Lou Groza (the inscription and signature have been gone over, possibly because the original blue ink was not taking to the glossy stock), Mike Scarry, Dante Lavelli, Tony Adamle, Lew "Mickey" Mayne, Chet Adams, Edgar Jones, Cliff Lewis, George Young, Len Simonetti, Ed Ulinski, Tom Colella, Bill Boedeker, Bill Lund, Marshal "Iggy" Shurnas, Mel Maceau, Jim Dewar, Bob Cowan, Lin Houston, and Weldon Humble (first name only). The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, average 7/10. The majority of the photos (8x10") display light-to-moderate creasing and several have small edge tears. In Very Good condition overall.
