Full Brooklyn Dodgers ticket issued for a game against the Pittsburgh
Pirates on September 24, 1957, which was the final game ever played at
Ebbets Field. Graded NM 7 by PSA. This is not only a historically
significant ticket, but also a rare, high-grade example. This is one of
just four examples graded at this level, with only two graded higher,
out of a total of eighteen listed in the PSA Population Report. Probably
no Major League team was more ingrained within the cultural fabric of
their neighborhood than the Brooklyn Dodgers. When the Dodgers left
Brooklyn for Los Angeles after the 1957 season the heartbreak for the
team's legion of fans was so great, that for most, it never healed. This
is just the second full example of this ticket we have ever offered and
one would be hard pressed to find a finer example. The ticket measures
1.25x5 inches.
