Collection of twenty-six scarce Brooklyn Dodgers rosters/spring training itinerary guides spanning the years 1921 to 1957. The years represented in the collection are 1921, 1922, 1924, 1925, 1926, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1937, 1938, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1955, 1956, and 1957. These guides were issued by the Dodgers to members of the press and feature information on each player in camp. Those from the 1920s are strictly spring-training rosters, while those from 1930 to 1957 include both the rosters and spring training schedules/itineraries. Most of the guides are in the form of tri-fold pamphlets, but a few from the 1950s are multi-page booklets. The collection is accompanied by a 1953 Brooklyn Dodgers press guide. Three of the 1920s rosters display tears along the fold lines that have been repaired by clear tape. The 1947 guide features handwritten notations on the interior, including the addition of Jackie Robinson's name to the club's roster, while the 1948 guide displays significant paper loss on the back cover. Aside from those minor condition anomalies, the guides are in Very Good condition overall.
