The New England Patriots standout suffered a high ankle sprain in the 23-20 AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens on January 22, 2012, and his status for the Super Bowl XLVI showdown against the New York Giants on February 5 was in question. This is the actual walking boot Gronk wore during the first week of the Super Bowl break, which he shed for the second week to play in the Big Game. With the sprain hampering his ability to make sharp cuts, Gronkowski was held to just two receptions and he came up just short on the game's final Hail Mary pass in the Giants' 21-17 triumph. Black boot shows light but definite use, and the white insole portion is signed in 7/10 black Sharpie with his number 87 inscribed along with "SB XLVI Boot!"
