Collection of thirty-four 1948 Bowman baseball cards featuring Stan Musial's rookie card, five additional Hall of Famers, and one duplicate. 1948 marked Bowman's first baseball issue and Musial's rookie card is the key to the set. It should be noted that signed 1948 Bowman cards are scarce, especially Musial, and this is one of the largest such offerings we have seen at auction. The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks on the front, range from 7/10 to 10/10, averaging 8/10. The cards range from Poor to Excellent, averaging VG-EX. The following thirteen cards have been encapsulated by PSA, with each of the signatures certified as "Authentic": 2 Blackwell, 4 Mize, 8 Rizzuto, 14 Reynolds, 17 Slaughter, 18 Spahn, 19 Henrich, 21 Fain, 22 Bevins, 36 Musial, 38 Schoendienst, 41 Barney, and 47 Thomson.
