St. Louis Cardinals full ticket issued for the game against the Chicago Cubs on September 8, 1998, in which Mark McGwire hit his 62nd home run to break Roger Maris's single-season record, signed by McGwire on the front. PSA has encapsulated the ticket, grading the ticket MINT 9 and certifying the signature as "Authentic." This is one of only nine signed examples of this ticket listed in the PSA Population report; just three are graded at this level, with NONE grade higher. McGwire has flawlessly inscribed the ticket in blue Sharpie (grading 10/10): "Mark McGwire 62 Passes Maris." McGwire's historic blast, a solo home run, took place in the fourth inning against Cubs hurler Steve Trachsel, with the occasion marked by an on-field celebration immediately afterwards. McGwire finished the season with a then-record 70 home runs, which remains the second-best mark in baseball history. A scarce signed souvenir from one of the most memorable moments in baseball history. Ticket dimensions: 6x2".
