1907-1909 H. M. Taylor Postcard Sam Crawford. Graded VG 3 by SGC. Of the fifteen examples of this card listed in the SGC Population Report, only three are graded higher than the offered card. This card, along with two others from the H. M. Taylor set (also in this auction), was just recently discovered in Michigan and is therefore new to the hobby. The H. M. Taylor postcard series, which consists of just seven cards, was a regional issue and featured only Detroit players. As a result, all cards from the set are scarce today. The postcard (5.5x3.5"), which has not been addressed or mailed, displays a light fingerprint impression in the upper right corner and minor surface wear. An outstanding example of this scarce Crawford card dating from the Tigers' 1907 to 1909 American League championship dynasty.
