Jerry Lucas is one out of a handful of basketball players in history who is amazing right out of the gate and is able to sustain a consistent level of excellence throughout his career. After establishing himself as one of the most dominant players in college basketball history with an astounding 62.4 shooting percentage, he began a gilded professional basketball career, shooting 52.7% in his NBA rookie season (1st in the league). He is the OSU all-time leader in rebounds with 1,414. He grabbed 12,942 in the NBA. He was a part of the finest amateur basketball squad ever put together (the 1960 Olympic gold medal-winners). Of course, we can’t forget that he was a part of the championship New York Knicks team of 1973. Cotton red, white, & blue Cincinnati Royals jersey from the beginning of his NBA career is splendid in every way! “Royals 16” is stitched across the chest. #16 stitched on verso. Piece of black cloth stitched over the left shoulder for repair. Tagging on front tail is “Wilson” with [size] 46 flag tag. Great use. ADDENDUM
Black swatch on shoulder is not a repair. It is a memorial patch for the death of Phil Jordan.
