Original Type I photograph of Johnny Evers as a member of the Boston Braves. Evers is pictured in his follow-through swing while taking batting practice prior to a game. Two "W. W. Somers" credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with handwritten identifications for both Evers and the catcher (Tragesser). If the identification of Tragesser is accurate, this photo was taken in 1915, because that was the only season during Tragesser's tenure with the club that the Braves used the style uniform seen here. The photo (10x8") displays a tiny tear along the top border and light creasing. In Very Good condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
