Scarce racing helmet worn by Michael Andretti during the early 2000s. The gray helmet features a patriotic flag motif along the base and prominent advertising for Kmart, Havoline, and Texaco. The name "Andretti" appears on both sides of the exterior. The heavily padded helmet includes its original two-way microphone and chinstrap. Andretti has signed the helmet in black Sharpie (grading 8/10) on the front top, just above the Texaco logo. Racing helmets are among the scarcest of all race-worn items, especially those used by drivers of Andretti's stature. This is the first Michael Andretti race helmet we have ever offered and one of the few we have ever seen at auction. The helmet displays wear commensurate with its former use and is in Excellent condition overall.
