Original Type I photograph of Teddy Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States. The photo captures Roosevelt seated in a chair, circa 1905. The photographer's credit stamp ("Vander Weyde/Photographer/New York") appears on the reverse, along with several editorial pencil notations. William M. Vanderbilts Weyde was a prominent New York City photo journalist who photographed many of the city's prominent politicians, artists, writers, athletes, and celebrities during the early 1900s. The photo (5.5x7.75") displays a small horizontal tear along the left border, a few light surface wrinkles, and paper residue on the reverse from having once been mounted.
