Rare complete set of 1934 R313A Gold Medal Flour cards, each individually encapsulated by SGC, plus an original mailing envelope. This blank-backed unnumbered set was issued by Gold Medal Foods, the parent company of Wheaties, to commemorate the 1934 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers. As such, the twelve-card set features six members of the Cardinals and six members of the Tigers. It should be noted that complete sets of this issue are seldom seen at auction. This is just the second complete set we have ever offered and the first that is fully encapsulated. The original mailing envelope (6x4"), which bears the "Gold Medal Foods, Inc." name printed in the upper left corner, displays several light pencil notations on both the front and reverse, along with moderate creasing. In Good condition overall.
