Displayed is a 2014 game issued Matthew Stafford Detroit Lions jersey, the winning quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI, held on Feb. 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood Stadium, the Rams' home field. Stafford was the primary quarterback for Detroit from his 2009 rookie season through the 2020 campaign. He joined the Rams for the 2021 season. Currently, he is 3rd all-time in NFL passing yards per game, and he is the fastest player to ever reach 40,000 yards passing. In his Super Bowl victory, Stafford completed 26-40 passes for 283 yards, with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He led a late 4th quarter drive and completed a touchdown pass to Cooper Kupp to give Los Angeles its 23-20 lead, which the Rams held. The jersey is a white mesh jersey. On the front, below the collar is an NFL tag. The tag exhibits the NFL logo and the Nike Swoosh. The tag also shows "44" for size, and the tag reads "ON FIELD." To the side of the aforementioned tag is a smaller tag showing the year 2014. At the jersey top, just before the neck, is another NFL logo and underneath that is a small "Lions" in blue. Below that is the number "9" in blue, with gray and black trim. On each sleeve is the number "9" in blue, with gray and black trim, and below that a blue Nike Swoosh. On the lower left front inside tail is a tag giving washing instructions and listing the composition of the jersey, by section. The sections average approximately 90% nylon and 10% Spandex. On the top of the back is "Stafford" in blue block letters with black trim. Below the name is the number 9, in blue letters, with gray and black trim. the jersey is in excellent condition. It shows no use as this jersey was probably a game day back-up. The jersey makes a good addition to any sports assemblage as it was issued to the winning quarterback of Super Bowl LVI, a quarterback who could set many records in the years to come.
