Baseball Hall of Fame postcard signed by iconic pitcher Cy Young. The traditional 3x5.5" card is of the same style used today, covered with an image of Young's HOF plaque. The clear signature is on the bottom below the plaque in black ink; the autograph itself is somewhat shaky as Young was 69 years old at the time of his induction. There is some light pencil writing on the back. Though the awards for baseball's best pitchers bear his name, many are not aware of his incredible statistics. In the era of pitch counts and five-man rotations, Cy's record 511 wins may never be approached as the nearest pitcher from the modern era is Greg Maddux, who sits 8th overall with 355 victories. (The nearest active pitcher is Justin Verlander - 66th overall - with 230 at this writing in 17 years of service). PSA encapsulated.
