Large collection of fifty-two WHA hockey programs dating from the 1970s. Included are two All-Star Game programs (1976 and 1977), several programs from exhibition games against international teams, a Whalers program from the first game at the Hartford Civic Center on January 11, 1975, and programs featuring Wayne Gretzky (with the Edmonton Oilers in 1979), Mark Messier (with the Cincinnati Stingers in 1978), Gordy Howe, and Bobby Hull.  Also included is a special 1978 New England Whalers Gordie Howe birthday program, a December 2, 1979, USA Olympic Hockey program issued for an exhibition game against the Cincinnati Stingers, a 1978 Playoff program (Winnipeg vs. Birmingham), a 1972-1973 WHA Action Annual, an Ottawa team patch, and three fold-over scorecards. Teams represented in the collection, many more than once, include the Toronto Toros, Vancouver Blazers, Michigan Stags, Baltimore Blades, Birmingham Bulls, Quebec Nordiques, Winnipeg Jets, Houston Aeros, New England Whalers, Phoenix Roadrunners, San Diego Mariners, Indianapolis Racers, Minnesota Fighting Saints, Philadelphia/Vancouver Blazers, Chicago Cougars, Cleveland Barons, Los Angeles Sharks, New York Raiders, Alberta/Edmonton Oilers, and Cleveland Crusaders. A few of the programs feature autographs on the cover. Condition ranges from Good to Excellent, averaging Very Good.
