1968 Topps Basketball Test Issue #18 Elgin Baylor card. Graded NM-MT 8 by PSA. This is one of only two examples of this particular card graded by PSA at this level, with just one qualified example graded higher. It is also one of just eight examples listed in the PSA Population Report. The 1968 Topps Basketball Test set is exceedingly rare and one of the most elusive of all Topps test issues. That fact is supported by the PSA Population Report, which lists just 208 cards in total for the entire twenty-two card set. As indicated by its designation, this set was never issued for retail sale and it was only in the last thirty years that cards from the set slowly entered the hobby, many of which originate from the family of a Topps executive. The offered card exhibits four sharp corners and smooth edges with a clear, focused image of Baylor.  It is very slightly off center both top to bottom and left to right. The reverse is clean and defect free.  An outstanding high-grade example of this rare card, which is absent from many of the most advanced collections.
