1929 R316 Kashin Publications Babe Ruth, signed by Ruth on the front. Ruth has beautifully signed the card in blue fountain pen near the base, just above his preprinted facsimile signature, with the signature grading 7/10. While all Ruth signed baseball cards are scarce, an R316 Kashin is particularly rare. This is the first example we have ever offered and we have seen just three others at auction in the past twenty-five years. 1929 Kashin Publications was sold as a boxed set numbering 101 cards and is one of the lesser known issues from the decade. Ruth's Kashin card, not surprisingly, is the key card from the set, and highly desirable on its own (high-grade examples normally command $5,000+ at auction). The offered card is an attractive example and aside from slight centering issues and modest corner wear is EX-MT in its overall appearance. Full LOA from JSA.
