1933 Goudey Baseball #53 Babe Ruth card. Graded VG 3 by PSA. Ruth's yellow-background card is considered the scarcest of his four cards in the 1933 Goudey set. The classic illustration of Ruth in his follow-through swing is also one of his most popular card images. For some reason, Ruth's #53 Goudey card has always been hard to find in high-grade condition. That fact is supported by the PSA Population Report. Of the 1,105 examples of this card evaluated by PSA, only 339 have received a grade higher than VG 3. The offered card displays honest handling wear, but is free of any significant flaws, such as tears or heavy creases. This is an outstanding example of what is arguably Ruth's most iconic card and one that would be a fine addition to any advanced 1933 Goudey or Babe Ruth collection.
