Joe Carter Louisville Slugger pro-model ("B343") bat dating from the 1986-1989 manufacturing period, when he was a member of the Cleveland Indians. The bat, which measures 35 inches in length and weighs 31.5 ounces, displays outstanding use throughout, including numerous ball marks (with blue-ink transfers), stitch impressions, and a large "H" crack (approximately 15 inches) in the handle. Carter's uniform number ("30") and the model number ("B343") are both written on the knob in black marker. Carter's uniform number ("30") is also written on the end of the barrel in white paint pen. Carter has inscribed the bat "To Gary/Best Wishes/Joe Carter" in gold paint pen (grading 8/10) below the barrel stamping. Carter was one of the game's top sluggers during his sixteen seasons in the Majors (1983-1998). From 1986 to 1997, his prime years, Carter averaged 29 home runs and 115 RBI. He also helped lead the Toronto Blue Jays to consecutive World Championships in 1992 and 1993. This is an outstanding Carter game bat dating from his final four seasons in Cleveland.
