This is the most complete 1948 Indians team ball we have ever seen, in that it includes owner Bill Veeck, general manager Hank Greenberg, Satchel Paige (first season in the Major Leagues), and Don Black. The twenty-nine signatures featured on the ball are those of Boudreau (player/manager, sweet spot), Paige, Feller, Lemon, Greenberg (general manager), Veeck (team owner), Gordon, Doby, Clark, Edwards (twice, once on the ball label) Harder (coach), Zelda, Black, Tipton, Robinson, Judnich, Ruel (coach), Muncrief, Peck, Gromek, Mitchell, Berardino, Keltner, Bearden, Bob Kennedy, Christopher, Hegan, Tucker (on the ball label), and Klieman. Signatures average 7/10. The ball displays a few small abrasions and light soiling, as well as light manufacturer's stampings. In Very Good condition overall.
