By the end of his career, Michael Jordan had led the Chicago Bulls to a pair of NBA Three-Peat championships. He was a 5-time NBA MVP, a 6-time Finals MVP, a 10-time scoring champ, and he later became a Hall of Famer and the consensus pro basketball GOAT. Presented is a Type 1 photo from the other extreme of Jordan's career, the beginning. The photo was taken at the February 15, 1985, game in Chicago when the Bulls were defeated by the Indiana Pacers. Jordan scored 17 points and had 7 total rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 blocks. The color photo is approximately 6.75" x 9.5", and it was taken by Chuck Cherney of the Chicago Tribune. The action photo captures Jordan's trademark tongue hanging out when he senses a shot or he is actually shooting, or dunking. The caption, on the back of the photo, reads, "Bulls' Dave Corzine [left] sets a pick on Indiana's Vern Fleming springing Michael Jordan for a shot. Jordan was held to 17 points in Friday's 114-96 loss." Jordan averaged 22.7 PPG for his rookie season, and he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year. The original photograph has been encapsulated and graded PSA Type 1 Authentic. It makes a great collectible, showing Michael Jordan as a rookie, when he was very skilled, and for a short time, still human.
