Collection of 269 different 1956 Topps baseball cards, plus ten duplicates, each signed on the front by one or more of the respective players, including seventeen different Hall of Famers. This is the largest collection of signed 1956 Topps baseball cards we have ever handled, representing 80% of the complete set, and we cannot recall having seen a more comprehensive offering at auction. With few exceptions, the signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, range in grade from 5/10 to 10/10, averaging 8/10. The cards range from Poor to Excellent, averaging Very Good. The collection is MISSING the following 71 cards for completion: #s 4, 5, 15, 22, 30, 31, 33, 53, 72, 78, 79, 83, 90, 101, 110, 111, 113, 114, 118, 120, 121, 127, 130, 134, 135, 139, 145, 146, 150, 162, 164, 169, 179, 184, 187, 188, 193, 196, 199, 202, 216, 224, 226, 232, 236, 237, 240, 246, 247, 248, 250, 259, 260, 261, 262, 264, 268, 269, 272, 280, 281, 282, 291, 292, 300, 306, 331, 332, 334, 336, and 340. The nine duplicates in the collection are as follows: 2 Giles, 8 Alston, 61 Skowron,  107 Mathews, 155 Kuenn, 194 Irvin, 208 Howard, 256 Hurd, and 307 Wilhelm.

The following thirty-one cards have been encapsulated by PSA, with the signatures all having been certified as "Authentic": 1 Harridge, 2 Giles (two examples), 8 Alston (two examples), 10 Spahn, 14 Boyer, 20 Kaline, 25 Kluszewski, 95 Braves Team Card (signed by Warren Spahn and Hank Aaron), 107 Mathews (two examples), 109 Slaughter, 115 Jensen, 125 Minoso, 140 Score, 165 Schoendienst, 180 Roberts, 181 Martin, 194 Irvin (two examples), 195 Kell, 200 Feller, 208 Howard (two examples), 235 Newcombe, 255 Lemon, 307 Wilhelm (two examples), 320 Adcock, and 321 Konstanty. 

There are six non-encapsulated team cards in the collection, each of which has been signed by one or more players: 11 Chicago Cubs (Ernie Banks and Harry Chiti), 85 Cleveland Indians (Ralph Kiner and Bob Feller), 100 Baltimore Orioles (Paul Richards), 166 Brooklyn Dodgers (Duke Snider and Billy Herman), 213 Detroit Tigers (Al Kaline and Jim Bunning), and 251 New York Yankees (Phil Rizzuto and Bill Dickey).
