1954 Boston Red Sox team-signed baseball featuring the rare signature of Harry Agganis. 1954 marked first baseman Harry Agganis' rookie season with the Red Sox and he finished the year with 11 home runs, 57 RBI, and a .251 batting average. Unfortunately, his promising career never came to fruition. The following year Agganis died of a pulmonary embolism on June 27th at the age of twenty-six. The official American League (Harridge) ball has been signed in blue ink by the following twenty-eight members of the 1954 Boston Red Sox: T. Williams (sweet spot), Boudreau (Mgr., sweet spot), Agganis, Kell, Henry, Baker, Schreiber (coach), Millo, Baker (coach), Wilber, Hudson, Gernert, Maxwell, Jensen, Clevenger, Brewer, Sullivan, Susce (coach), Herrin, Nixon, Consolo, Kiely, Bolling, Evers, Piersall, Lepcio, Goodman, and Dobson. Signatures average 8/10. Near Mint condition.
