1902-1911 W600 Sporting Life Cabinet Thomas Leach (NL Uniform - Type 3 Mount). Graded EX-MT+ 6.5 by PSA. This is the only example of this particular card listed in the PSA Population Report. It should be noted that an EX-MT+ 6.5 is an extremely high PSA grade for a W600 Sporting Life Cabinet. Of the 236 W600 cabinets listed in the PSA Population Report, only 19 have received a higher grade. Though not a Hall of Famer, Tommy Leach was one of the top players of the dead ball era, and a participant in the first modern World Series with Pittsburgh in 1903. Many decades later he gained secondary fame when he was one of the players immortalized in Lawrence Ritter's classic 1966 baseball book, The Glory of Their Times. When Leach died in 1969 at the age of 92, he was the last surviving player from the 1903 World Series. This is an exceptional W600 cabinet and one that would be a welcome addition to anyone amassing a high-grade collection.
