Ali, whose photo is featured on the cover, has inscribed it "Dearest Carole/Best Wishes/The Greatest/ Muhammad Ali" in blue ink (grading 6/10). As noted on the interior, Ali was the guest of honor that night and the recipient of the Association's Edward J. Neil Award, which was presented annually to the fighter of the year.
