Rare fold-over pamphlet, published by the Korakuen Stadium Group, issued for the Dodgers 1956 Tour of Japan. The cover features a photo of Jackie Robinson at the plate and is numbered Vol 4. No. 32. The Dodgers played six games at Korakuen Stadium against either the Yomiuri Giants or a team of Japanese All Stars. The pamphlet, which is printed in Japanese, lists the rosters for the Dodgers, the Yomiuri Giants, and the Japanese All Star team, as well as other activities taking place at the stadium. Unbeknownst to everyone at the time, the eighteen-game tour marked Robinson's final games in a Dodgers uniform. He announced his retirement shortly after the club returned home, thus closing one of the most historically important chapters in baseball history. The pamphlet (3x6", folded) remains in Excellent to Mint condition. All items relating to the Dodgers' 1956 Tour of Japan are scarce and this piece is no exception. This is the only example we have ever seen, making it a must have for any advanced Jackie Robinson collector.
