Displayed is the actual jersey worn by Gary Snachez when the New York Yankee catcher appeared in the 2017 Home Run Derby. The event was held at Marlins Park, in Miami, Florida. Sanchez was part of eight participants. Sanchez won the opening round against Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins 17-16, but Gary lost in the semi-finals 11-10 to Miguel Sano, of the Minnesota Twins. Aaron Judge, a teammate of Sanchez on the Yankees won the event. A neck tag reads "Majestic Authentic." A tag on the lower right front outside tail describes the jersey as "100% Polyester" and contains washing instructions. The front has "AMERICAN" across the chest. The right sleeve has a "T Mobile Home Run Derby 2017" patch. The left sleeve has the New York Yankee logo. The back of the jersey has a "MLB" patch at the top. "SANCHEZ" is displayed under that with white block lettering. Under the name is "24," in black numerals trimmed with white. Sanchez has autographed the "2" of his number in silver pen and the numeral "4" has been inscribed by Sanchez as "2017 HR Derby used 27 HR's Florida #24." Sanchez has been a 2-time All-Star and won a Silver Slugger. He has already hit 138 home runs as he heads into the 2022 season.
