New England Patriots road jersey issued to Tom Brady during the club's 2001 World Championship season. Graded A5 by MEARS. The white mesh jersey features the number "12" on the front, reverse, and each sleeve. "Brady" is lettered on a white nameplate on the reverse, directly above the number. All numerals are applied in tricolor blue/white/red tackle twill, while all letters are applied in blue tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are an "Adidas" label, a "48" size tag, and an "01" year tag. The jersey is original as issued, and displays minimal use.

2001 represented Brady's first season as a starter, which culminated in his first of an eventual seven World Championships. Taking over the starting reigns after a serious injury sidelined incumbent starting quarterback Drew Bledsoe in the club's second game, Brady led the Patriots to an 11-5 record and a first place finish the division. After winning the infamous "Tuck Rule" game at home against the Oakland Raiders in the playoffs, Brady suffered a knee injury in the club's AFC Championship win against Pittsburgh, but was able to return for the Super Bowl. Despite being an overwhelming underdog to the Los Angeles Rams, Brady silenced all doubters by leading the Patriots to an improbable 20-17 win and their first Super Bowl victory in franchise history. The rest, as they say is history, as Brady became the greatest and most successful quarterback in NFL history. Graded A5 by MEARS (base grade of 5, with no other points added). This is both an early and historic Tom Brady team-issued jersey dating from his first championship season.
