Pair of Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series garments, originating from a former Red Sox employee, worn by star outfielder Manny Ramirez. 1) Long-Sleeve Undershirt. The red shirt features both the 2004 World Series logo and the Major League Baseball logo embroidered on the front of the collar. Located in the collar are a Majestic label and a "2X" size tag. Ramirez's uniform number ("24") is written in black marker on both the manufacturer's label and size tag. Also written on the size tag in black marker are Ramirez's initials, "MR." Light wear is displayed throughout. This undershirt was most likely only worn during pregame warmups, as we have been unable to find any photos or video of him wearing a red undershirt during a 2004 World Series game. 2) Fleece Pregame Jacket. The blue pullover jacket features the Red Sox team "B" embroidered on the front, just below the collar. A "2004 World Series" adorns the left sleeve. A "Majestic" label is located on the left front tail and in the collar. Also located in the collar is a "XXL" size tag. Ramirez's uniform number ("24") is written in black marker on both the manufacturer's label and size tag in the collar. The jacket, which has had both sleeves cut so that it is now a short-sleeve garment, displays light wear. Ramirez was the hitting star for the Red Sox in the 2004 World Series, batting .412 with 1 home run and 4 RBI in the team's historic four-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals. Those numbers not only earned him World Series MVP honors, but helped the Red Sox break the "Curse of the Bambino" and end the club's eighty-five year World Championship drought.
