The announcement was placed on the scoreboard, the Pirates rallied in the game in the bottom of the ninth with four runs for a walk-off victory, and the rest is history. The Pirates won the pennant and then World Series against the Cincinnati Reds. Stargell was both the NLCS, World Series, and National League MVP. The outfielder hit 475 career homers, all for Pittsburgh, in his 21-year career. The gold jersey shows great use.
