Dizzy Dean's fame and popularity during the 1930s led to many products bearing his name and likeness. Offered here is one of the rarest of those items: a Dizzy Dean pocket watch. The facing features an illustrated likeness of Dean in the center, with his facsimile signature printed across his image. The second hand along the base is in the shape of a baseball that rotates, with a pointer indicating the time. No manufacturer is listed, but we know from having seen other examples in in their original boxes that it was produced by the Everbrite Watch Company, which also produced the more commonly seen Dizzy Dean wristwatch. The offered example displays only slight handling and is NR-MT in its overall appearance. An outstanding example of this seldom-seen Dizzy Dean collectible. When we wound the watch in our office it did run intermittently, but it may need to be serviced by a jeweler for regular use. The watch is housed in a box that is not original to it.
