The only athlete ever to simultaneously hold eleven World and Olympic records wore this [size] 10 Adidas shoe as he shattered the previous 400-meter mark. Multiple black ink inscriptions read, “ Date 5/20/67,” “44.8-440 44.5-400,” “Leg 19.4, 1:22.1, 880-Relay.” Strong Use. Though his speed was incredible, he will best be remembered standing on the winner’s podium with his head bowed and his fist raised high in protest during the ’68 Games in Mexico City. On his jacket that day sat this “Olympic Project For Human Rights” pin (2.5”). LOA from Tommie.
