A classic print created almost 150 years ago depicts a race at Pimlico in the early days of racing. Six horses and riders are shown in the straight-up style common at the time. In the background is the old grandstand and clubhouse. The latter burned down shortly after Kauai King won the Preakness in 1966. The framed picture is extremely rare with dimensions 26" long by 15 1/2" high. It is in excellent condition. Also included is a complete edition of a souvenir program from Pimlico, with a history of the racecourse 1870-1970, printed April 1970. The print is shown on the cover.
